Sunday School classes for all ages are available at 9:45 AM on Sunday mornings. We use Show Me Jesus by Great Commission Publications for the kids. Adult Sunday school consists of various Bible studies, doctrinal studies, and topical studies.
On the second Sunday of each month after the worship service, everyone gathers for a potluck meal. This provides an opportunity for building of relationships in the body and encouragement. Visitors are warmly invited to join us for our fellowship meal.
Nursing Home Ministry
Every second Sunday after the fellowship meal, we hold a special 2:30 PM worship service at the Medford Care Center, 185 Tuckerton Road. Our purpose is to encourage the residents with the gospel. A group of people from Immanuel goes and sings hymns and the pastor shares a message from Scripture.
Children & Youth Ministry
Immanuel offers Sunday school classes for all ages, including preschool, younger and older elementary, and Jr/Sr High. Monthly youth social events are coordinated by our mother church in Bellmawr, and include youth from multiple churches in South Jersey. Additionally, Immanuel youth participate in biannual youth rallies coordinated by the Presbytery. Immanuel also sends children and youth to French Creek Bible Conference each summer, which offers age-appropriate Bible teaching and overnight camp experience with young people from all over the region. Every year, the youth also serve the younger children in leadership during Immanuel’s Vacation Bible Camp.
IOPC participates in an annual women’s retreat, along with several other OP churches in south and central NJ. Additionally, the Immanuel women serve through a coordinated meal ministry for families and individuals in the church. Immanuel frequently has women’s Bible Studies and Sunday School classes dedicated to and led by women in the church.
IOPC participates in an annual men’s retreat, along with several other OP churches in NJ. Immanuel also has occasional Sunday Schools specifically for men, in parallel with the dedicated women’s classes. A monthly men’s breakfast is also planned to begin later in 2015.
