Vacation Bible Camp, July 17-21

This year’s Vacation Bible Camp will be held on July 17-21 from 9am-12pm. We will needs lots of help to make this outreach a success. There will be a preliminary planning meeting after morning worship on May 21. See David Harr for more details.

Family Sunday School

For the weeks leading up to July, adults and children will meet from 10am until 10:20am for singing and Bible and catechism memory. Then the adults and teens will dig into a Bible study of 1 Peter while the kids enjoy a Bible story and coloring time.

Resurrection Sunday Choirs

Children’s Choir – In preparation for Easter Sunday, the children’s choir will rehearse each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the nursery. See Joel Byrd for details. Adult Choir – Interested adults will meet weekly at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays to rehearse. Speak with Matt Byrd for more information.

Men’s Retreat – April 28-30

This year’s men’s retreat with Immanuel Bellmawr will be held on April 28-30 at Camp Haluwasa. Rev. John Van Meerbeke, pastor of Living Hope OPC in Gettysburg, will be the speaker. Information and registration can be found at www.immanuelonline.org.

2016 OPC Thank Offering Report

It is a joy to report that giving for the 2016 Thank Offering in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church has exceeded the stated goal of one million dollars.  Gifts to the Thank Offering have totaled $1,209,525 so far. The funds will go to promote the OPC’s Worldwide Outreach of Home Missions, Foreign Missions, and Christian Education.

Women’s Retreat, March 17-18

The women of Immanuel are invited to the Faith OPC Pole Tavern Women’s Retreat. It will be March 17-18 at the Port-O-Call Hotel on the Boardwalk in Ocean City. Author Barbara Duguid will be speaking on the subject “Extravagant Grace.” David Harr can pass along more information if you are interested.

Winter Youth Conference, February 17-19

The OPC Presbytery of Philadelphia is hosting a Winter Youth Conference on the weekend of February 17-19, 2017 in the Poconos at Streamside Camp and Conference Center. The conference is open to girls and boys in grades 8 through 12. The Rev. David Landow, Associate Pastor of Emmanuel OPC in Wilmington, will teach on the beatitudes.
